Brandecation is a Somerville, New Jersey based software platform that combines a learning management system with SPIFF and incentive management, rebate program administration, sponsorship management, and contingency program tools for brands that train and reward dealer and distributor networks.
Founded by Rich Maychrich, the platform has grown from an online dealer training tool into a broader ecosystem that lets brands deliver sales SPIFFs, rebate programs, loyalty rewards, sponsorships, and dealer training from a single, white-labeled solution built to look and feel like an in-house platform for each client brand.
Brandecation pairs its software with white-glove managed services and dedicated account management, handling design, implementation, and ongoing program management for its brand customers. That places a premium on the security and reliability of the underlying platform, which stores dealer performance data, training records, and incentive payout information.

Commercial data held on behalf of major brand clients.
As a growing SaaS platform handling sensitive commercial data on behalf of major brand clients, Brandecation needed its cloud infrastructure and security posture to match the trust expectations of the enterprise brands it serves.
Brands evaluating or renewing platform relationships increasingly require independent assurance that a vendor's data handling practices meet recognized standards. Without a formal security program or compliance attestation in place, Brandecation faced a growing gap between its commercial ambitions and the security credentials larger prospective clients expect from a vendor managing incentive payouts and dealer training data at scale.
The engagement needed to address both the underlying cloud and security operations and the formal path toward a SOC 2 attestation, giving client-facing sales and account teams a credential to point to during procurement and renewal conversations.
Rivia provides ongoing cloud and security managed services for Brandecation while concurrently leading the company through SOC 2 compliance readiness.
Continuous oversight of the cloud environment, covering infrastructure monitoring, access control, patching, and security configuration management, bringing day-to-day operations in line with the disciplined, auditable practices that both good security hygiene and a SOC 2 examination require. The work tightened identity and access management across the platform's cloud accounts, hardened configurations around storage and transmission of SPIFF, rebate, and training data, and stood up the logging and monitoring needed for ongoing threat detection and incident response.
In parallel, the engagement is advancing Brandecation through the standard SOC 2 readiness path: scoping which Trust Services Criteria apply to the business, conducting a risk and gap analysis against existing security measures, and implementing the technical and organizational controls that satisfy an independent auditor, including encryption, access management, incident response procedures, and employee security training. The work is structured to lead into an internal readiness assessment ahead of the formal third-party audit.
Rather than a fixed-scope project, the engagement functions as a managed services relationship, with continuous responsibility for keeping the cloud and security posture current as the platform and its client base grow. Compliance controls established during SOC 2 readiness are maintained rather than treated as a one-time exercise.
The engagement has brought structured, managed oversight to Brandecation's cloud and security operations where none existed at this level of rigor before. The SOC 2 readiness effort is underway, with control implementation and gap remediation in progress ahead of a future formal audit.
For Brandecation, this positions the company to offer prospective and existing brand clients a level of security assurance consistent with its white-glove service model, reinforcing the platform's pitch to brands as a fully managed, in-house-feeling extension of their own operations rather than a third-party vendor with unknown data handling practices.
"Partnering with Rivia was a game-changer for us. Their assessment identified critical security gaps, and they worked hand-in-hand with us through remediation to meet enterprise-level requirements. As a result, we secured major clients we couldn't have competed for before."
